Kohl’s stores are run by associates and their supervisors. Associates use applications on their handheld devices for sales floor and stockroom management, including updating electronic price tags for existing and new inventory.
The problem was associates were using 4 different apps to manage the tags and needed a lot of supervision due to missing information, like tag location or images.

So, I tagged along with the lead researcher

I was in my 2nd year as a designer in the industry, and this chance of meeting multiple store associates across the country (including bay area) really was a special learning exeperience. I took notes, watched and learned a lot.
Only 15% Price sign issues were fixed in a day

Accessibility issues made their days worse

We consolidated into 2 accessible apps

This feedback came after the pilot release
